End-of-Summer Sale

I’m in denial that it’s August already and summer is wrapping up. The free concert series that our city sponsors sadly ended this past weekend. (I so enjoy the music, dancing and people watching.) And in two weeks it’s the night of our annual potluck block party. I love our block parties and the faithful neighbors who attend every year and the new folks who give it a try. And of course kids are heading back in school. I thought we were totally done with that now in our family since my youngest graduated from university this past June, but no, my eldest is heading back this September to pursue a master’s degree. But she’ll be buying her own school supplies!!

I also realized this summer I have not been taking advantage of many yard and estate sales. Not that I haven’t wanted to, because I have. (I’ve been living vicariously watching all the haul videos on YouTube!) But I have two problems. First, I still have lots of wonderful things to get listed in my stores. Some of these items I’m embarrassed to admit were bought more than a year ago! And secondly, I’m running out of storage space. (Maybe you have that problem too.) Time to scale back!

With that in mind I’ve been running sales. Here’s a sample of the things in my Etsy end-of-summer sale.
